A Medicare Advantage Plan, also known as Part C or MA, is a health plan offered by a private company that's approved by Medicare and provides Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance) coverage. Medicare Advantage Plans can also include Part D (prescription drug coverage) and may offer additional benefits like vision, hearing, and dental services
Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap) is a health insurance policy that helps pay for some of the out-of-pocket costs of Original Medicare, such as deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. Medigap is sold by private companies and is available to people who already have Medicare Part A and Part B.
Medicare Part D is a voluntary prescription drug benefit that helps cover the cost of outpatient prescription drugs for people with Medicare. It's offered through private insurance companies that contract with the federal government, and is available as a stand-alone plan or as part of a Medicare Advantage plan.
